How to get Admission in MBBS at Srinivas Medical College?

MBBS admissions in Srinivas Medical College are done based on merit only through the NEET-UG exam. Here is a step-by-step guide for the admission process:

1. Ensure eligibility

  • 10+2 Qualification: The candidate must have passed the 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Biotechnology), along with English as a subject.
  • Minimum Marks: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCB combined is required. For SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B candidates, the minimum aggregate is 40%.
  • Age: The candidate must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year.
  • NEET UG: The candidate must qualify the NEET UG exam.

2. NEET UG Cutoff

The candidate must score above the NEET UG cutoff score to be eligible for admission at Srinivas Medical College. The NEET UG score of 2025 is as follows:

  • General/ EWS: 144 Marks
  • OBC/ SC/ ST: 113 Marks
  • General/ EWS- PwD: 127 Marks
  • SC/ ST/ OBC- PwD: 113 Marks

3. Register for KEA counseling

  • Online Registration: The candidate should go to the KEA official website and register by creating a login ID using their NEET Roll Number and entering personal details like their name, contact information, category, etc.
  • Application Form: The candidate needs to fill out the KEA application form, including academic details, NEET score, rank, and other relevant information.
  • Upload Documents: The candidate should upload scanned copies of required documents in the specified format and size, such as their photograph, signature, and thumb impression.
  • Pay Fee: The registration fee for the counselling process needs to be paid online using a credit/debit card, net banking, or via a bank challan. The fee varies based on the candidate’s category.

4. Document verification

  • Online Verification: Documents will likely be verified online based on KEA guidelines.
  • Secret Key: After successful document verification, KEA will issue a secret key on an acknowledgement slip, which is crucial for the next step, option entry. This key must be kept confidential.

5. Option entry (choice filling)

  • Log In: The candidate should log in to the “Entry of Options” portal using the User ID and Secret Key obtained after document verification.
  • Fill Choices: The candidate needs to enter their preferred colleges and courses, listing as many options as they desire in order of preference. This can only be done once in the first round of counselling, and these choices will be carried forward to subsequent rounds.
  • Mock Allotment: KEA might conduct a mock allotment to provide an idea of the seat the candidate might get based on their choices and merit. The candidate might be able to alter/delete some choices after this round.

6. Seat allotment

  • Rounds: Seats will be allotted in four rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round) based on the candidate’s NEET rank, choices, and seat availability.
  • Check Results: The candidate can check the seat allotment results on the official KEA website using their login credentials.
  • Confirm Choice: If satisfied with the allotted seat, the candidate needs to confirm their choice on the website.
  • Pay Fees: The admission fees must be paid as specified by the college and KEA.
  • Download Admission Order: The candidate should download the admission order from the KEA portal.

7. Report to college

  • Reporting: The candidate must physically report to college within the specified timeframe mentioned in the admission order.
  • Documents: The candidate should bring the admission order along with the following documents and their self-attested copies for verification:
    1. NEET UG Admit Card
    2. NEET UG Scorecard / Rank Letter
    3. 10th Class Marksheet
    4. 12th Class Marksheet
    5. Any Photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter ID/ Driving License)
